Orders & Personalization
How do I place a custom order?
Add your chosen design to cart and fill in the personalization fields on the product page. For special requests or reference images, upload them on the product page (if available) or email support@preciousengraved.com with your order number.
Tip: Clear, concise notes help us craft your sign exactly as you imagine.
What personalization details can I provide?
- Top Text — names or a meaningful phrase (e.g., Jon & Melissa).
- Middle — an initial letter plus the full name (e.g., D – Daniel).
- Bottom Text — dates or phrases like EST. 2004.
Allowed characters: A–Z, 0–9, ampersand (&), period (.), comma (,), apostrophe (’), slash (/), bullet (•), and spaces.
Not supported: hyphen/minus (-
) and equals (=
) in cut text due to technical constraints.

Will I receive a design proof?
For standard templates, we cut directly from your personalization to keep production fast. If you need a proof, reply to your order email or contact support and we’ll arrange one for custom work (proofing typically adds 1–2 business days).
Can I change or cancel my order?
We can modify or cancel within 12 hours of purchase (before cutting begins). After that window, your order may already be in production. Email support@preciousengraved.com ASAP.
What if I made a typo?
Contact us quickly. If we haven’t started cutting, we’ll update it. Once cut, the piece can’t be altered. We’ll do our best to help with a discounted remake when possible.
What if a character I want isn’t supported?

Production & Shipping
How long does production take?
Most orders are crafted within 2–7 business days. During peak seasons or for complex custom work, this can extend slightly.
Need it sooner? Select Expedited Processing in your cart when available—we’ll prioritize your order.
How long does shipping take?
Typical U.S. transit time is 2–7 business days via UPS. A FedEx 2-Day option may be available at checkout.
Transit estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Weather and carrier delays can occur.
How do I track my order?
Visit our tracking page and enter your email or order number:

We’ll also email your tracking link as soon as your order ships.
My tracking says delivered, but I can’t find it.
- Check around entrances, with neighbors, and any parcel lockers.
- Allow 24 hours—carriers sometimes mark “delivered” early.
- If still missing, email us at support@preciousengraved.com and we’ll help investigate.
Do you ship internationally?
We primarily ship within the United States. For other destinations, please email us with your full address and the item you’re considering so we can advise on options.
An item shows “Out of Stock.” What now?
Many of our pieces are made to order. If a size/color is temporarily unavailable, contact us—we can often provide an estimated restock or craft a made-to-order alternative.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
Personalized items are made just for you and are final sale (no returns), except in cases of damage/defect or our error.
Non-personalized items can be returned within 30 days of delivery in unused condition and original packaging. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
Start a return by emailing support@preciousengraved.com with your order number.
My order arrived damaged or defective—what should I do?
No need to ship it back. Please:
- Email support@preciousengraved.com within 7 days of delivery.
- Include your order number, a brief description, and clear photos of the issue and shipping box (if damaged).
- Once verified, we’ll send a replacement right away. You can keep or recycle the damaged item.
Can I exchange my item for a different size or color?
For non-personalized items, yes—contact us within 30 days. For personalized pieces, we’ll help with a discounted remake when possible.
Can I update my shipping address?
Yes—if the order hasn’t shipped yet. Email us ASAP with the correct address. Once shipped, we’ll try to assist with a carrier intercept (fees may apply).
Installation & Care
How do I mount my metal sign?
- Screws/anchors for wood, drywall (with anchors), brick, or masonry.
- Magnetic hanging screws (accessory) for easy, no-drill mounting on suitable surfaces.
- Heavy-duty picture strips for lighter sizes on smooth indoor walls.
Always follow wall/anchor weight ratings. When in doubt, consult a professional installer.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes—our powder-coated steel is designed for indoor & outdoor display. For coastal or high-humidity areas, periodic cleaning and drying will maximize longevity.
How do I care for my sign?
Wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals. If displayed outdoors, rinse occasionally with fresh water and dry.
Discounts & Gift Cards
How do I use a discount code?
Enter your code at checkout and click “Apply.” Most codes can’t be combined, and only one code is allowed per order.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes—digital gift cards are available. They’re delivered by email and contain instructions to redeem at checkout.
